Swim Guru's First Blog Post!

With one of my youth athletes

This is my first ever blog post, so I am going to make it rather short and sweet -- so as not to make it too daunting or overwhelming for the reader, and more importantly, for myself. ;-)

Welcome everyone to my webpage for the businesses of Swim Guru TX and Corrie Kristick Racing (CKR)! I have some very exciting news that I will be sharing with you over the upcoming months and in the new year regarding all of the amazing events and programs that are in store for Swim Guru athletes and swimmers -- which will be primarily located at the West University Recreation Center. Likewise for the Triathlon and Multi-sport community, there will be many upcoming events and opportunities to learn, grow and succeed in the sport through CKRacing. I will frequently be sharing updates on all the extraordinary athletes I coach and their many successes! It really has been quite an phenomenal year for all of our athletes, and I couldn't be more proud of all that has been accomplished!

I will also be periodically discussing such topics as swimming technique, race day preparations, mental toughness, diet/nutrition for triathletes and swimmers, and many other topics. I know there is a lot of information out there these days all over and a lot of very differing opinions, but I want to share with you some of the key elements and standards I've learned over the course of my career from some of the best coaches and athletes in the world. This information I hope will help you to become a smarter, and ultimately more efficient swimmer, triathlete and overall athlete in whatever sport or goal you are pursuing.

So, with that said, thank you so much for stopping by and reading my "short and sweet" first ever blog post! What a great year it is going to be -- in and out of the pool!
